What's New in EDI 4.0

The new version of EDI is now online. For this update, our goal was to improve the design and usability of EDI, with the core functions remaining the same. Listed below are the major changes and new functions for this release. We hope the improvements make for a better experience when using EDI. Please use the Contact Us tab for giving any feedback you have on the changes. EDI is available at https://edinet.post.ca.gov

New Cityscape Theme

We have an all new design using the POST "cityscape" theme to match the POST family of websites.

Consolidated Reports

The new "Reports" menu tab has a consolidated list of available reports grouped by function. Reports that were once available under NOAT, Compliance and Course are now in one list under the Reports tab and grouped by Personnel, Compliance and Courses.

New Reports: Hours Cap Status & Unclaimed Reimbursement

Two new reports are now available, the Hours Cap Status Report and Unclaimed Reimbursement Report. Agency users can access both of these under the Reports tab.

NOAT is now Personnel

The NOAT (Notice of Appointment and Termination) function available to Agency users has been renamed to Personnel. The same functions are available for personnel appointments, terminations and setting the department head, but the reports have been moved to the consolidated Reports tab.

Course Comments Alert

The New Comments alert and report helps make reading course comments easier and quicker. Now when you get a comment added to your course from your POST consultant, we will notify you with the New Comments alert on the top of every page. It shows the number of new comments you've received and will update automatically while using the system.

Quick Search

Personnel and course lookups are easier with the new Quick Search box on the EDI home page. Agencies can view a personnel profile with the person's name or POST ID. A presenter can get back to a new course certification or modification with just a partial course title or course number.

Quick Links

We have added a new Quick Links box on the EDI home page to give easy access to the EDI functions you need most. It is a dynamic list that changes based on your user account permissions, so only the item you need are listed.

Improved Navigation

We have improved button layout for easier navigation in reports and course certifications.

Readability Improvements

The new design uses larger fonts and a fixed layout to help improve readability.
